Computer Output to Laser Disk
(COLD) The capture of large (typically mainframe generated) reports on optical media such that sections are accessible as individual documents. A successor technology to "COM" (Computer Output on Microfilm).
In 1999 the AIIM renamed COLD to ERM/COLD (Enterprise Report Management), to better reflect the changes and improvements this technology has undergone throughout the years.
An example application is PearlDoc QuickFile Information Management System (http://www.pearldoc.com/) (IMS).
